Our team uses high quality data and rigorous analytical approaches to study ways to eliminate cancer health disparities. We are focused on examining why cancer disparities exist globally, and to identify effective strategies to advance cancer health equity. We examine why certain groups develop more aggressive cancers compared with others, and why cancer outcomes differ between groups. We are interested in a range of explanatory factors at the biological, individual, neighborhood and policy level that can be targeted to improve cancer outcomesYou will be exposed to the multi-factorial nature of cancer disparities and have access to integrated datasets to answer research questions relevant for cancer disparities in the US and globally in a highly collaborative team environment. Team includes biostatisticians, project coordinators, post-doctoral fellows, and graduate students. Research activities include literature review, data management/statistical analysis, and scientific writing that can lead to published manuscripts, theses/dissertation projects, or grant proposals.
