As cancer researchers, we work hard to find solutions for the communities we serve — but that work can be hard to see from the outside. Through outreach we make our research accessible and engage the people who stand to benefit most from it.

REGAL Gives Back
After hosting focus groups with cancer survivors in Caswell County, we wanted to give back to more than just the people in the room. Partnering with the county's cancer support group, the team packed and delivered care packages for local children — school supplies, clothing and essentials — and spent the day in Yanceyville with the families our research is meant to serve.
