Our commitment
Cancer disparities research is about equity — and that includes digital equity. We are working to make this website usable for as many people as possible, including visitors who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, magnification, or other assistive technologies.
What we aim for
We try to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, and we test the site with keyboard-only navigation and automated accessibility checkers. We also write in plain language so our science is easier to understand, no matter your background.
Built-in accessibility features
The site uses clear headings, descriptive link text, and color combinations designed to meet contrast standards. Images include alternative text, forms are labeled, and interactive elements show a visible focus indicator when you navigate with a keyboard.
Accessible science content
We know research can feel dense. That is why our Publications page includes plain-language summaries for each study, and why we organize information by topic instead of only by technical jargon. If a word or section is unclear, let us know and we will do our best to explain it.
Known limitations
Some older PDFs or external links may not be fully accessible. We are working to replace or supplement them. If you find a page, document, or feature that is hard to use, please tell us so we can prioritize it.
